Khloe Kardashian is one of my style crushes these days and I am very excited to announce that in just six days she will be releasing her new denim line, “Good American,” sold exclusively at Nordstrom retail stores. In a recent interview on The Ellen Show Kardashian discussed her very own personal dealings with finding good jeans when she was heavier. She gave an example of when she used to go to clothing boutiques with her sisters, Kim and Kourtney, and they never had her size 12 jeans. It made her upset that curvy women couldn’t get these beautiful denim jeans at the high-end boutiques. So she decided to start the “Good American” denim line for sizes 00-24. Kardashian says that she wanted to make good jeans for every body type and that she wanted to kill the term “plus size.” To me that is so important and I completely agree with her because clothing should not be broken up by size; it should all be together so every woman feels equal.
According to the Nordstrom website, Khloe Kardashian collaborated with Emma Grede to launch a denim line with such a variety of sizes. Nordstrom says that this brand will provide a “new definition of sexy.” Khloe has some great people involved in this project like the popular plus size fashion blogger Gabi Fresh and Kylie Jenner’s best friend Jordyn Woods, who are both advocates for curvy and plus size bodies. I am so excited to see what “Good American” denim is all about.
This collection will be available Oct. 18, at Nordstrom.
