Black History Month is finally here!!!! Each day this month we will be honoring African Americans who uplifts our culture and exemplifies BLACK EXCELLENCE.
Jackie Aina is an Nigerian American beauty YouTuber with over 2.9 subscribers. She formerly served in the United States Army Reserve. Over the last decade, Jackie Aina has become a household name in the beauty world. She has created a platform that is a go-to beauty guide for women of color. You can count on Jackie to give you her true feelings on a product and call out brands that are lacking inclusiveness.
Most recently Jackie has partnered with Too Faced Cosmetics to help create 9 new shades of their Born This Way Foundation. The partnership began nearly a year and a half ago, when Too Faced founder Jerrod Blandino reached out to Aina, a longtime friend, to help expand the brand's complexion colors.
Jackie is not only a bold and brave beauty influencer, she uses her platform to discuss diversity , activism and representation. She's managed to earn herself the NAACP YouTuber of the Year Award for her impactful and ample efforts to help people of color feel included in the beauty community and hold the industry accountable. She has been named WWD Beauty Inc Awards: Influencer of the Year and Refinery 29's Beauty Innovator of the Year.
